Saúde psicológica e bem-estar 2024 | OSPBE/DGEEC xxxiii percentage say that, in general, their life has changed for the better due to the pandemic (10.3%). Also noteworthy is the recognition of the existence of National Action Plans in the school: two-thirds of teachers say they are aware of their school's involvement with the National Reading Plan (97.1%), the National Programme for Promoting School Success (81.2%), and the National School Health Programme (87.6%). More than half also said they were aware of their school's involvement with the National Cinema Plan (52.2%) and the National Arts Plan (60.6%). In the perception of most teachers, the consequences of COVID-19 in their lives have become almost irrelevant. In contrast to the findings for students, which suggests that the percentage with psychological vulnerability went from 1/3 in the 2022 study series to ¼ in the 2024 series, the situation of teachers remains unaltered, with 1/2 reporting weaknesses in terms of psychological well-being. As far as geographical regions are concerned, it was not possible to replicate the analysis made in the previous series due to the poor take-up of several regions and the small number of teachers who took part in the study compared to the 2022 series. With these limitations in mind, the results obtained suggest that progress has been made in identifying, implementing, and monitoring actions to (i) promote psychological health and a healthy school environment, (ii) promote socio-emotional competencies, and (iii) the well-being and quality of life of the different players in the school ecosystem, (iv) improve psychological health and well-being in pupils (only possible to compare older pupils-second cycle, third cycle, and secondary) and maintain the situation of teachers at this level.
