There are statistically significant differences between school years and gender, with younger pupils (5th grade) and boys tending to eat breakfast more often. 91% of students say they do not smoke. Younger pupils and females more often reported not smoking. 76.4% of students say they do not drink. Younger pupils and females more often report not drinking. 5.5% of students reported getting into fights with their classmates. Older pupils and female pupils more often reported not getting into fights. Concerning the school environment, 61.8% of pupils feel safe at school, 53.8% are generally satisfied with their contribution, and 54.3% are satisfied with the opportunities they are given at school. A fifth of students do not think the school has an environment for innovation (20%). On average, students scored 17 (out of 28) for the school environment. Younger students (5th grade) report a more positive perception of the school environment (20.3), and 11th graders report a less positive perception (15.4). In general, over the years, students tend to decrease their positive perception of the school environment, and here, as in other indicators considered in this 2024 series, the situation seems more favourable in 12th grade than in 11th grade. There are no significant differences between genders. Regarding the perception of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, a quarter of students say that although life, in general, has changed for the worse, everything is back to normal, and a third think that life, in general, has changed little as a result of the pandemic (41.3%).
