The recommendations focused on promoting active and transformative training involving all agents of the school ecosystem and enhancing coordination between schools, health services, and the community and local authorities. What was done in 2024? The second OSPBE/DGEEC study took place in 2024. Eight types of questionnaires were used: (i) preschool, 1st and 2nd year of schooling (with the respective teachers and educators as the source of information); (ii) 3rd and 4th year of schooling; (iii) second and third cycle of primary education and secondary education; (iv) teachers (teachers or educators); (v) teachers with managerial/coordinating positions; (vi) psychologists; (vii) operational and administrative assistants and other health and education technicians; (viii) parents or guardians. Who took part? Students The nationwide participants belonged to the school groups drawn by NUTS III (the nomenclature of territorial units for statistical purposes) on mainland Portugal. They volunteered to participate in the Study on Psychological Health and Well-Being. A total of 6112 student responses were considered: i) 1802 were pupils belonging to preschool education in the first cycle (first and second years), 50.2% male with a modal age of 6 years. ii) 1227 belong to the first cycle (3rd and 4th grades), 50.4% male with a modal age of 8. iii) 3083 were students from the second and third cycles of primary and secondary education, female (49.5%) with an average age of 13.6 years.
